WATERFRONT STREET
We invite you to enjoy an unforgettable walk along our beautiful waterfront, a journey that offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty.
WHAT TO SEE
LA CASCADA
THE WATERFALL
A UNIQUE PHENOMENON
The waterfall of Puerto San Julián is a unique natural phenomenon, generated by the movement of the tides and not by the typical jumps of mountain rivers.
As the tide goes out, the water trapped in natural channels seeks to return to the sea, creating a constantly changing waterfall. The height and visibility of the waterfall vary depending on the tide, reaching its maximum splendor during low tide and disappearing completely at high tide.
URBAN NATURE RESERVE
The Municipal Urban Nature Reserve aims to preserve the biodiversity of regional ecosystems, extending from the waterfall to the yacht club.
In this area, it is possible to observe a wide variety of birds, including ducks, brown-hooded gulls, and oystercatchers, with a total of 28 recorded species.
You will also find the sign for PUERTO SAN JULIÁN.
MUELLE VIEJO.
OLD PIER
The Old Pier is a silent witness to past eras, evoking the intense port and livestock activity that gave life to Puerto San Julián.
This was the area where bales of wool from the ranches in the central zone of the province of Santa Cruz were collected and loaded. Built in the 1920s, this old pier offers picturesque views of the bay, with beautiful sunrises.
BARGE SWIFT 12
This barge, stranded on the coast of Puerto San Julián, has become a characteristic element of the landscape and a point of interest for visitors. Although its current state is deteriorated, its structure and dimensions can still be appreciated.
Unfortunately, Pablo Walker's initiative to restore the Barge and convert it into a cultural or tourist space has not yet materialized.

CC KAPOLK CHEN.
The Kapolk Chen Cultural Center and Ceramics Workshop is a cultural space in Puerto San Julián, dedicated to the creation, promotion, and sale of handcrafted ceramics.
The name "Kapolk Chen" means "Red Earth" in the Tehuelche language, in homage to the indigenous peoples of the region and to the raw material used in ceramics.
