WHAT TO SEE
ISLA JUSTICIA
JUSTICE ISLAND
Justice Island, a nesting place for the imperial shag and the rock shag (also known as the king cormorant), also provides refuge for various birds such as gulls and coscoroba swans. It stands out for its geomorphological and paleontological richness, housing fossils and the remains of a petrified forest.
Furthermore, this small island holds historical significance due to the execution of a mutineer from Magellan's expedition and the visits of figures like Fitz Roy and Darwin.
ISLA CORMORAN
CORMORANT ISLAND
The island, also known as Penguin Island, is home to a colony of over 130,000 Magellanic penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus).
These penguins can be observed during their nesting and breeding season, providing a unique opportunity to see these birds up close in their natural habitat.
